Find out all about Ballingham Hall Farm and our story here...
Everyone these days is concerned about food miles and where their food comes from but at Castle House, that doesn't worry us at all. That's because we focus on provenance and seasonality.
The vegetables, fruit, herbs and salad leaves for our restaurant's menus have been grown, whenever possible, in the extensive kitchen garden on our nearby Ballingham Hall farm, where we also rear pedigree Herefords. We also have long and established relationships with trusted local producers in Herefordshire, as well as surrounding counties.
We feel very much part of the county's tradition for good food. Our family's farm is at Ballingham Hall just 8 miles from the hotel. Built in 1602, the Hall has been in our family for 140 years. I farmed here with my father and grandfather, and now run the business with my son George, who is the hotel's General Manager. We are passionate about what we do and about British farming, so you can be sure that what arrives on your plate is the very best, grown here in Herefordshire and the Marches.
